Double Page Spread Planning

Sebastian Gold has taken the world by storm! His new single ‘Dont Look Back’ hit the no1 spot within a few hours of being released; a first for the music scene. We contacted Sebastian and amazingly got an exclusive interview a pop sensation seriously in demand.

Sync: So lets start with the basics! What was it like for you growing up?

Sebastian: It’s such a lovely place! (He laughs sarcastically) It was tough, from a young age I always noticed my mums drinking, there were always empty bottles of vodka around the house and I’m guessing she didn’t just pour them down the sink. I didn’t see much of her she would be out most of the time leaving me to cook and eat whatever was left in the house. It was tough but I dealt with it.

its not all f***ing

glam!

It wasn’t until I was 14 when mum stopped drinking and checked herself into rehab, I had a group of my friends round and drank so much I was rushed into hospital and almost died of alcohol poisoning; it was a real shock to her and showed her how dangerous it was, she knew it was time to do something about it. I’m great for my life but also glad this happened otherwise she might not be here with me today. My school was as rough as you can get, people would carry knifes for protection as well as for harm. There used to be at least one injury a month because of knife crime. I would never hurt someone but you find yourself dragged in and take the friends that you get given; being alone was a big danger. Safety in numbers and all that (he jokes), my friends weren’t the best of influences. I soon found myself taken drugs regularly but I didn’t do it because I looked cool and to follow everyone else I did it because it made me forget; those few hours of me being high were everything. Drug often lead to crime and that’s exactly what happened, all together I’ve been arrested 6 times ranging from stealing to drunk and disorderly. I know I may not seem like the perfect role model but I have changed for the better and I believe my music can influenced the large amounts of other people who I know are in the same situation I was. Anything is achievable if you believe in yourself.

I WAS RUSHED INTO HOSPTIAL, I ALMOST DIED

Sync: How did you get to where you are today?

Sebastian: Well it was hard I’ll tell you that! I applied for every open mic session in my town and tried to get noticed; it took a while but thankfully a music producer was sitting in the audience one night and came up to me after the show. He give me his card and said he would love to hear some more of my music and well the rest if history!

Sync: What’s it like to have your single at the number one spot?

Sebastian: it’s such an amazing feeling! Never did I expect it to get to number one. To be honest I was just hoping to be in the top 30 let alone number one. It makes me feel proud as people get and understand my music.

Sync: How has your life changed?

Sebastian: Well being the perfect child and all that I moved out of my hell hole and moved me and my mum into a decent house! Swimming pool and everything! It may seem greedy but I’ve never had money in my entire life and I wanted to treat her and myself to something we deserve, I’ve worked hard for this, its not all fucking glam! I haven’t had a break in about a year and have been working nonstop to promote my single. Even though it’s a number one I’m still working hard to keep it there!

Sync: So…are you single?!

Sebastian: haha well don’t I get asked this question a lot! Yes I am single but I just don’t have time for a girlfriend at the moment, I would love to settle down in the future though.

ANYTHING IS ACHIEVEABLE

Sync: What can we expect from you in the future?

Sebastian: I’m working on my new album which should be released around June, followed by a tour in 2012! So get your tickets! You have not heard the last of me…

Watch out readers, we can expect much much more from this sexy soleful pop sensation. We have a real soft spot for this man and his story is just an inspiration; let it teach you to never give up in life in the words of Sebastian
